Even if Kong is the Titan who “falls” in the upcoming kaiju epic Godzilla vs Kong, the beast will live on in a new animated series currently in development at Netflix.

Deadline broke the news about Skull Island!
Skull Island will be a new chapter in Legendary’s Monsterverse franchise and much like the 2017 Jordan Vogt-Roberts- directed movie Kong: Skull Island, the animated series will follow the adventures of shipwrecked characters that are trying to escape from the mysterious dangerous titular island home to prehistoric monsters, including the titan, Mr. Kong.
Brian Duffield (Underwater, The Babysitter) will write and produce Skull Island with Jacob Robinson and Powerhouse Animation. We’ll keep you posted as additional details are announced!
