Tons Of Covers Unveiled For DEADPOOL Creator Rob Liefeld’s Gruesome New Comic Series SNAKE EYES: DEADGAME

Publisher IDW revealed no fewer than thirty-six new covers for the upcoming Snake Eyes: Deadgame miniseries, which is set to begin publication later this month. The series was written by Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld alongside Chad Bowers, with Liefeld also providing the interior artwork and some of the covers along with an assortment of other artists. You can view all of the aforementioned covers below, and fans of Liefeld’s work will not be surprised to know that he drew an obscene amount of pouches on Snake Eyes’ suit.

The six-issue miniseries will see the silent but deadly ninja from the G.I. Joe franchise finally being forced to face his past, as a new threat emerges which causes him to revaluate everything he thought he knew about himself. Snake Eyes has always been a mysterious character, so fans will definitely be intrigued by this new opportunity to learn more about his secretive past.

Although the series is based on a toyline, Liefeld has promised that Snake Eyes: Deadgame will not hold back in terms of blood and visceral violence. Speaking to ComicBook.com, Liefeld was quoted as saying, “There is red blood on pages. I mean, he’s a ninja with swords, and they’re not asking me to censor anything. IDW and Hasbro have been fantastic.” He also hinted that the book would contain some supernatural elements, saying “this series has some crazy mythological, mystical — some really big concepts.” It sounds like this comic will present the world of G.I. Joe in a way we’ve never seen it before, and we can’t wait to read it.

With Snake Eyes also set to headline his own film next year, there is naturally going to be a large amount of hype around the character, so this comic has arrived at the perfect time. The first issue of Snake Eyes Deadgame will be available on July 15, while the Snake Eyes film will open in wide release on October 23, 2020.
