Exclusive Clip from Supernatural Creeper STAR LIGHT Arriving August 4th

The price of fame has deadly consequences for a Britany Spears-type pop star in Star Light, a supernatural fright flick produced from the team behind the 2003 Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake and 2017’s festival fave The Night Watchmen.

Things get tense (and bloody!) in our exclusive clip from Star Light. Give it a spin below the trailer and synopsis.

Synopsis:
While skateboarding, kind-hearted teenager Dylan (Cameron Johnson of The Wrong Crush) crashes into a beautiful young woman who secretly turns out to be the world-famous popstar Bebe A. Love (Scout Taylor-Compton from Rob Zombie’s Halloween movies). Keeping her identity under wraps, Dylan takes Bebe to his best friend’s house for help. While he and his group of pals try to aid the mysterious woman, unexplained events begin to occur within the home. And they only intensify when Bebe’s handler, Anton (Bret Roberts of May and S. Darko), shows up at their door and demands the kids return her immediately. When Dylan refuses fearing for Bebe’s safety, he unleashes a barrage of dire consequences that turns a fun graduation party into a night of living hell.

Star Light is co-written and co-directed by Mitchell Altieri (Night WatchmenThe HamiltonsThe Violent Kind) and horror newbie Lee Cummings.

“From what began as a solid core idea of my longtime friend and executive producer Andrew Mardirous, Star Light is the epitome of what good storytelling and great acting are when they coincide to make a film,” Cummings tells Dread. “Cinematically, this film is gorgeous with a simplistic pallet of earth tones along with primary pops to aid the story. I wanted to make a film that moves like a thriller but has moments that leave you feeling unsettled, something I always enjoy bringing to the screen. This was also easier to execute when you have two horror vets on your team like [Texas Chainsaw Massacre producer] Jeff Allard and Mitchell Altieri, one of the Butcher Brothers. This not only gave me great insight into the genre, but enabled me to make a film I’m passionate about.
