JURASSIC WORLD Almost Featured This Hybrid Dinosaur

Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World with Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, and Irrfan Khan almost featured another hybrid dinosaur.

Marvel Studios Visual Development Supervisor Ian Joyner shared the concept art over on Instagram, writing: “Stegoceratops! A Hybrid dinosaur design for Jurassic World. A version of these guys ended up in the mobile game, but here was some early development for the movie. The very talented @bodinsterbadesign did a great one as well which I think they used for the game itself?

Check out his post below.

Located off the coast of Costa Rica, the Jurassic World luxury resort provides a habitat for an array of genetically engineered dinosaurs, including the vicious and intelligent Indominus rex. When the massive creature escapes, it sets off a chain reaction that causes the other dinos to run amok. Now, it’s up to a former military man and animal expert (Chris Pratt) to use his special skills to save two young brothers and the rest of the tourists from an all-out, prehistoric assault.

Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of science-fiction violence and peril, the film sports a 71% on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Jurassic World can’t match the original for sheer inventiveness and impact, but it works in its own right as an entertaining — and visually dazzling — popcorn thriller.
