We’re in the midst of a horror/sci-fi themed Month of Dread, and the Russian flick Sputnik would fit in perfectly. Look for the film on VOD beginning August 14th via IFC Midnight. Check out the trailer and read more about Sputnik below.
Synopsis:
The lone survivor of an enigmatic spaceship incident hasn’t returned back home alone—hiding inside his body is a dangerous creature. His only hope: a doctor who’s ready to do whatever it takes to save her patient.
Sputnik is directed by Egor Abramenko from a screenplay penned by Oleg Malovichko and Andrei Zolotarev; the film stars Oksana Akinshina, Fedor Bondarchuk, and Pyotr Fyodorov.
