SDCC 09: Peter Jackson Talks Horror

default-featured-image

San Diego Comic-Con 2009You just never know who you’re gonna run into here at the SDCC. In this case … we ran into a small time director whom you may have heard of, Peter Jackson, and he blessed us with some insight into the genre that we all love!

“We need more original ideas, and more splatter” says Jackson who’s in town promoting the new film he just produced, District 9. He agrees that much of the originality has been sucked out of the horror genre and his “urge to create a unique horror film is higher than ever“.

Jackson also confirmed that the rumor about him working on a Nazi zombie film was complete bullshit but he was amused by the idea. In a perfect world, people! Let’s hope Peter gets back to the red stuff sooner rather than later.
