Venom 2 will be directed by Andy Serkis and produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker from a screenplay written by Kelly Marcel based on the character created by David Michelinie and Todd McFarlane. Columbia Pictures will unleash it on October 2, 2020.

Producer Matt Tolmach says that, while the original film was rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, and for language, the sequel may end up being rated R due to the success of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker. Fingers crossed. We’ll let you know when we hear more.
