Players Are Haunted By A Cursed Video Game In LIVESCREAM Trailer

After premiering at the Crimson Screen Film Festival back in 2018, the video game-based horror film Livescream is now available to view on several video on demand outlets, including YouTube, iTunes, Vimeo, and Amazon. The video description for the trailer below includes a list of VOD links, so you know where to go if this sounds like a movie you’ll enjoy. A Blu-ray edition is also available for the time being.

Written and directed by Michelle Iannantuono, Livescream focuses on a popular streamer named Scott Atkinson, who gets more than he bargained for when his viewers suddenly begin to die after he starts streaming a strange new indie horror game. He soon learns that the only way to escape the nightmare is to beat the game, something which may not be as easy as it sounds. Scott is played by Gunner Willis, and the supporting cast includes Tiffani Brown, Michael James Daly, and Austin Butts.

Some of the accolades earned by Livescream during its festival run include winning Best Director at the Nightmares Film Festival, and winning the Jury Award for Best in Show at the Stranger Days Independent Film Festival. So, this is clearly a movie worthy of high praise.

With streaming of gaming footage being as popular as it is nowadays, it was probably only a matter of time before we got a film on the subject, and Livescream sounds like it will appeal to both gamers and filmgoers alike. We wouldn’t be surprised if this film even develops a cult following over the next few years.
