Did You Know Stephen King Wrote CREEPSHOW In A Week?
Did you know that The Stand and The Shining author Stephen King wrote his killer horror anthology classic Creepshow in a single week? Well, now you do. I sure as hell didn’t. But it’s fun info to hang onto, don’t you think?
For the record, this is old news if you were unaware. But hell, I just learned it while watching a three-part King interview from the early ’90s called Master of the Macabre: A Conversation with Stephen King. So I figured I share it with you guys as well.
The Creepshow bit comes up at around 4 minutes into the second part, which you can find below. In the lengthy old school interview, he also talks about his other films including Cujo, The Shining, Firestarter, Carrie, Children of the Corn, and more.
It’s totally worth the watch. Give it a look-see and then let us know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!
For the guy out there that doesn’t already know, Creepshow is a compendium of five short but terrifying tales contained within a single full-length feature, this film conjures scares from traditional bogeymen and portents of doom. In one story, a monster escapes from its holding cell. Another focuses on a husband (Leslie Nielsen) with a creative way of getting back at his cheating wife. Other stories concern a rural man (Stephen King) and a visitor from outer space, and a homeowner (E.G. Marshall) with huge bug problems and a boozing corpse. BUY IT HERE.
