SPIRAL: FROM THE BOOK OF SAW Rated R For Grisly Bloody Violence/Torture & More

This Halloween we will be hit with Chris Rock’s reboot of James Wan and Leigh Whannell’s horror series Saw co-starring Samuel L. Jackson and directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (St. Agatha).

And today we learned that the flick has been rated R for sequences of grisly bloody violence and torture, pervasive language, some sexual references, and brief drug use.

Spiral: From the Book of Saw is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman and produced by Oren Koules and Mark Burg from a screenplay written by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger from a story by Chris Rock based on the original film written by James Wan and Leigh Whannell.

It stars Chris Rock as Zeke with Samuel L. Jackson as Marcus, Max Minghella as William Schenk, and Marisol Nichols as Capt. Angie Garza. Lionsgate will unleash it on May 15, 2020.
