Zach Braff Joins Shark Thriller TIBURON

Director Alistair Legrand’s shark thriller Tiburon has just snagged its main cast which will be lead by Scrubs and Oz the Great and Powerful star and Garden State writer-director Zach Braff.

Based on a script by Jonathan WC Mills (Nothing Left to Fear), the story centers on a young family trapped on top of a camper van stranded on a flooded tidal basin within sight of the beach. They must decide whether to face down a sadistic fugitive or flee through shark-infested waters.

I assume the title comes from the town in California.

Other cast includes along with Paula Patton (Mirrors, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol) and Rupert Friend (The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Hitman: Agent 47).

Screen Daily reports that Mills will produce the flick along with Tom Butterfield and Harry White.

The film is expected to start shooting in South Africa this spring.
