HALLOWEEN KILLS: Paul Rudd Gave Anthony Michael Hall His Blessing

Blumhouse and director David Gordon Green’s Halloween Kills is headed our way this, you know, Halloween. And today we hear that original Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers Tommy Doyle, Paul Rudd, gave new Tommy Doyle, Anthony Michael Hall, his blessing to take over the role. As if he needed it, but still. It’s a sweet enough gesture.

Hall tells the Fantasm podcast: “One day, David Gordon Green texts me when I’m off, I wasn’t shooting that day, and he goes, ‘Yeah, I got a call from Paul Rudd, and he sends his best and he gave his blessings. He’s really excited that you’re playing the part.’ I never met Paul Rudd, but I thought that was really nice.”
