Women in Horror Film Festival Announces Celebrity Guests Heather Langenkamp & Amanda Wyss

The Women in Horror Film Festival is right around the corner!  A flood of indie genre film will take over the historic Strand Theatre in Marietta, GA, February 27-29, 2020.  WIHFF is thrilled to announce that Heather Langenkamp and Amanda Wyss, the darlings of Elm Street, will be at the festival all weekend long.  Langenkamp will be showcasing her directorial debut, Washed Away as well as co-hosting the awards ceremony with festival director, Vanessa Wright

The official lineup of films includes 4 feature films:

WORLD PREMIERE, Black Lake directed by K/XI

GEORGIA PREMIERE, Cold Wind Blowing directed by Dionne Copland

GEORGIA PREMIERE, Mass Hysteria directed by Arielle Cimino & Jeff Ryan and

GEORGIA PREMIERE, The Dark Red directed by Dan Bush and starring Kelsey Scott (12 Years a Slave, How to Get Away with Murder). 

There are 85 short films screening from filmmakers around the globe, as well as 20 finalist screenwriters.   You can see the full schedule and lineup of films and screenplays HERE as well as the official fest promo HERE.

Author’s Meg Hafdahl & Kelly Florence will be at the fest to sign their newest release from Simon & Schuster, The Science of Women in Horror.  Author Samantha Kolesnik is also scheduled to be at the fest to sign her debut novel from Grindhouse Press, True Crime. Local virtual reality company, Ionic VR will be onsite for attendees to experience the best in VR gaming and experiences.  Local & national press outlets will be at the event interviewing guests and finalists. 

Weekend passes will be numbered for fun giveaways throughout the weekend, including the chance to win a pair of passes to the 2021 event.  Tickets for the event are available HERE.  Located less than a mile from the theater is The Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel & Conference Center, the official hotel of the Women in Horror Film Festival.  All after-parties will take place at THE PUB, located just off the lobby in the hotel.  To book your room and secure the special discounted room rate, click HERE.
