TRAIN TO BUSAN Sequel Coming August 2020

Well, it looks like Train to Busan sequel Peninsula will be hitting in August 2020. This update comes to us from Hallulife who says a source from the distribution company ‘NEW’ said:

We are preparing for the market release by summer 2020, but the schedule for international release has not been decided yet.”

According to a report, the film is set to premiere on August 12, 2020.

While original Train to Busan star Gong Yoo will not be returning in the sequel, it will feature Kang Dong Won, Lee Jung Hyun, Lee Re, Kwon Hae Hyo, Kim Min Jae, and Goo Kyo Hwan.

Peninsula finds the remaining characters trying to escape Korea after the zombie infestation.

Meanwhile, Train to Busan centered on a man, his estranged daughter, and other passengers who become trapped on a speeding train during a zombie outbreak in South Korea.

Train to Busan currently has a killer 93% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Train to Busan delivers a thrillingly unique — and purely entertaining — take on the zombie genre, with fully realized characters and plenty of social commentary to underscore the bursts of skillfully staged action.

It was directed by Yeon Sang-ho and produced by Lee Dong-ha from a screenplay written by Park Joo-suk. It starred Gong Yoo, Ma Dong-seok, Jung Yu-mi, Kim Su-an, Kim Eui-sung, Choi Woo-shik, Ahn So-hee. If you don’t already own a copy, you can buy it on Blu-ray HERE.
