Fangoria and Cinestate have just snagged Memento and Prometheus actor Guy Pearce for their upcoming horror flick The Seventh Day from director Justin P. Lange (The Dark).
Pitched as Training Day meets The Exorcist, the film follows a renowned exorcist who teams up with a rookie priest for his first day of training. As they plunge deeper into hell on earth, the lines between good and evil blur, and their own demons emerge.
Sounds like fun to me!
Deadline reports international sales are in the hands of Voltage Pictures who’s shopping the movie over at AFM this week.
Directed by Justin P. Lange (The Dark) from a screenplay he penned himself, The Seventh Day will be produced by Dallas Sonnier (Dragged Across Concrete) and Amanda Presmyk (VFW) for Cinestate and Fangoria. Kimberly Hwang (Lucky) and Chelsea Davenport are also producing.
Voltage Pictures CEO Nicolas Chartier and President and COO Jonathan Deckter are executive producing, alongside Adam Donaghey (A Ghost Story), Phil Nobile Jr (Horror Noire), and Danielle Cox (The Standoff At Sparrow Creek).
