A QUIET PLACE 2 Casting Update: Brian Tyree Henry is Out, Djimon Hounsou is In

There’s been an 11th-hour casting change in the upcoming sequel to 2018’s A Quiet Place: Child’s Play actor Brian Tyree Henry is being replaced by Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamonds, Guardians of the Galaxy). Deadline broke the news:

A source said that Henry (Atlanta) has exited over scheduling problems and Hounsou steps into a big role, alongside Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, Cillian Murphy. The 2018 original grossed $341 million worldwide.

John Krasinski returns to write and direct, though he will not be appearing in the sequel.
