HALLOWEEN KILLS Will Begin Filming This Fall + Director Talks Franchise’s End

Halloween Kills, the sequel to 2018’s Halloween reboot, is slated to begin filming this Fall, and director David Gordon Green recently sat down with our friends at Collider to discuss what’s in store! Halloween Kills is eyeing an October 2020 release, with a franchise finale, Halloween Ends, arriving in 2021.

“We start [filming Halloween Kills] in September [and shoot Halloween Ends right afterward] with a breather between. But they’ll be out in two consecutive years, in 2020 and 2021. You get a breather this year, and then, for the next two years, it’s gonna be crazy.”

As for what we can look forward to:

“They’re never done telling the Frankenstein story, and at this point, Michael Myers is a classic movie monster. But our Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode/Michael Myers saga will be done. The fun of it is also seeing it end and knowing that it can. If you just keep trying to elongate it and milk it for all of the money, then that’s boring.”
