Those who suffer from coulrophobia (fear of clowns) have had it rough in the 2010s. Not only did we suffer through a full-blown clown apocalypse in 2016, but the release of Andy Muschietti’s IT also put scary clowns in the forefront of popular culture. With the sequel, IT: Chapter Two arriving in theaters this September, creepy clowns are likely to crawl back into the limelight.
