Metal as F***! GOJIRA Guitarist Burned by Pyrotechnics Finishes Set!

Strong winds descended on the Sonic Temple festival in Columbus, Ohio this weekend. And while it most certainly made fans uncomfortable, no one suffered more than Gojira guitarist Christian Andreu. During the band’s performance of “Stranded,” a pyrotechnics burst coincided with a nasty gust, blasting the ax-man in the face!
Twitter user @SonsOfLibertyLv caught the potentially deadly moment on video, which you can see for yourself below.
What’s most amazing about this story is that, though clearly burned, Andreu finished the band’s set before seeking medical treatment. Well, that’s just metal as fuck! In all seriousness, however, we’re breathing a sigh of relief; things could have been much worse.
