Trailer: You Can Check Into THE LODGE But You Might Not Check Out

The first official trailer for NEON’s upcoming horror film The Lodge has been released and…just…wow. This is a fantastic trailer, one that sets up the story but offers enough twists and turns to keep viewers guessing. Is this killer children? Is there something supernatural? Is there a cult-like twist on the horizon? Nothing is clear yet all of these possibilities are set up, all encapsulated in this brief glimpse of what promises to be one of the year’s very best horror films.
Reviews are already out there since the film premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and the overall 81% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes suggests that this is going to be a horror event.
“A soon-to-be stepmom is snowed in with her fiancé’s two children at a remote holiday village. Just as relations begin to thaw between the trio, some strange and frightening events take place.“
Directed by Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz, who co-wrote the film Sergio Casci, The Lodge stars Richard Armitage, Alicia Silverstone, Riley Keough, Jaeden Martell, and Lia McHugh.
It comes to theaters this Fall.
