The second season of Chilling Adventure of Sabrina (aka Part 2) hit Netflix on Friday, making for the perfect weekend binge-watch. In a hysterical bit of promotion, producers gathered a group of real-life priests to watch Season 1 of Sabrina–and it was not what they expected! It’s a far cry from the Sabrina in Archie comics, that’s for certain.
And while a couple of the priests were unimpressed, several were suprisingly effusive of the series. It’s a hysterical watch in any case, so give it a spin at the top of the article. You can check out the trailer for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina below.
Synopsis:
This adaptation of the “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” tale is a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror and the occult. In the reimagined origin story, Sabrina Spellman wrestles to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family — including aunts Hilda and Zelda — and the daylight world humans inhabit. Kiernan Shipka (“Mad Men”) leads the cast in the titular role of the show that is based on a comic series of the same name.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa; in addition to Shipka, the series stars Ross Lynch, Lucy Davis, and Chance Perdomo.
