The JOKER Trailer Proves the Movie is Not What You’d Expect

When it was announced that the powers that be were going to make a movie dedicated to the Joker from the DC universe, it was easy to imagine something chaotic and surreal. What I didn’t expect was a character study that dove deep into the making of a villain who has become a cultural icon. But here I am now and, by god, I’m convinced.
A trailer for Joker has been released and it feels like a completely different kind of movie than both DC and Marvel have been releasing for more than the past decade. Here, we get to follow Arthur Fleck as he goes from everyday citizen to Gotham’s most terrifying force and it looks fascinating. While I recognize that many people aren’t into the idea of movies explaining that which doesn’t need explaining, this has me eating out of their palms.
