Motion Poster for CHILD’S PLAY Remake Puts a “Buddi” Beneath a Christmas Tree

While we certainly aren’t pleased that MGM and Orion have launched a competitor to Don Mancini’s still-thriving Child’s Play franchise, we’ll no doubt be following this project to fruition as the remake marchestowards its June 21^st, 2019 release date. Being a horror fans takescommitment, but we did promise Buddi/Chucky that we’d be friends till the end.

Motion posters are all the rage these days. We’ve seen examples in promos for upcoming films like Hellboy and Pet Sematary and even featured and exclusive motion poster for the disaster horror The Quake. 2019’s Child’s Play is the latest film toutilize this new technology with a poster that puts us close enough to Chuckyto get nervous! Is that a shadow behind you?

Synopsis:
Child’s Play follows a mother (Aubrey Plaza) who gives her son (Gabriel Bateman) a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.

Child’s Play is directed by Lars Klevberg from a screenplay penned by Tyler Burton Smith. We don’t have a trailer yet, but we’ll bring it your way just as soon as one hits the internet. Stay tuned!
