BREAKING: TERRIFIER’s David H. Thornton Among Celebrities Evacuated from Chiller Theater Expo

Horror and pop-culture fans and celebrities were evacuated from the Chiller Theaters Expo in the Parsippany Hilton of Parsippany, NJ this afternoon due to a suspicious package being discovered at the annual event. Dread Central Presents’ own David H. Thornton, who starred as Art the Clown in Terrifier, was one of the hundreds evacuated; he posted on Facebook minutes ago:

According to ExtraTV.com:

“Around 3:30 p.m. ET, the entire building was emptied, with everyone instructed to remain at least 100′ away from the hotel. Police vehicles, what witnesses described as “bomb trucks,” and ambulances responded to the chaotic scene.”

Some of the other celebrities in attendance include T.K. Carter (The Thing), Richard Thomas (IT, 1990), and several cast members of 1981’s Evil Dead (among many others). As this is a fluid event, we’ll be continuing our coverage through the afternoon and evening.

Our best wishes go out to all the attendees of Chiller Theater Expo in New Jersey. You’re all in our thoughts.
