Dread Central Presents: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story Gets Theatrical and Home Video Release Dates

We’re incredibly excited to announce that To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story, Dread Central Presents’ first documentary, will be getting a theatrical release in limited theaters on June 28/29 where it will then be followed shortly thereafter by a VOD and Blu-ray/DVD combo release on the very fitting date of Friday, July 13.
Directed by Derek Dennis Herbert, To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story dives deep into the world of one of horror’s most iconic actors, one who has been in over 100 films and has killed more people on-screen than any other actor. Championing how Hodder overcame a dehumanizing childhood filled with torment and bullying, the film also takes us into his survival of a near-death burn accident.
The film will feature interviews with Robert Englund, Bruce Campbell, Adam Green, Cassandra Peterson, Danielle Harris, Harrison Smith, Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, and Michael Aloisi, and, of course, Hodder himself.
Director Herbert previously told Dread Central, “Dread Central Presents is the perfect distributor to release our film, To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story, because of how ingrained Kane Hodder is in the horror genre. The passion and dedication of Dread Central through the years is exactly why they are the perfect fit for this horror adjacent, human-interest documentary.
