Toronto Goes Mad for Midnight!

Stuck one of many films playing this year's Midnight MadnessOh, man, that’s two trips to Toronto I need to take this year, neither of which I can afford. First Argento goes to Rue Morgue’s Festival of Fear, now the Toronto International Film Festival has announced their Midnight Madness lineup and it’s downright drool-worthy.

All right, admittedly I’ve not heard of most of them, but who are we to doubt the programming prowess of one of the most badass film festivals around? Check out the lineup:

  • Friday, September 7th – Fronteieres, directed by Xavier Gens
  • Saturday, September 8th – Diary of the Dead, directed by George A. Romero (HELL YES!!!)
  • Sunday, September 9th – Vexille, directed by Fumihiko Sori
  • Monday, September 10th – Stuck (pictured), directed by Stuart Gordon
  • Tuesday, September 11th – The Devil’s Chair, directed by Adam Mason
  • Wednesday, September 12th – Flash Point, directed by Wilson Yip
  • Friday, September 14th – Dainippohjin, directed by Hitoshi Matsumoto
  • Saturday, September 15th – À l’intérieur , directed by Alexandre Bustilo & Julien Maury
  • Admittedly they’re not all horror per se, but what they have from our genre is damn impressive — three world premieres! Damn! For more on them all click here to check out TIFF’s Midnight Madness page!
