New mother! Clip Gets Uncomfortable in No Time Flat

A new clip from Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming psychological horror/thriller mother! has been released and it immediately crosses boundaries and enteres the realm of tension and unease. The events in the clip are simple: Jennifer Lawrence and Michelle Pfeiffer are talking and the latter tells the former to basically hurry up and have kids. Apart from being none of her business, the scene plays out as though this is an unsettling moment, one where Lawrence is completely thrown off-guard and doesn’t know how to respond.
Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris, Michelle Pfeiffer, Domhnall Gleeson, Stephen McHattie, and Kristen Wiig star in mother!, which will be in theaters on September 15th.
Synopsis:
A couple’s relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence.
