Scott Lyus Marauds a Malevolent Mansion in Echoes of the Passed

No sooner had we announced the release of Scott Lyus’ perturbing psychological horror short, Silently Within Your Shadow on Amazon Prime than news of his latest project rolled out.
Back in July last year, Dread announced the launch of an IndieGoGo campaign in search of support for a project going by the name of Echoes of the Passed which Lyus’ assured would “defy all the rules to leave the audience with an overwhelming feeling of fear after the credits cut.” The success of said campaign was astounding, so much so that the final product is pretty much done and dusted and an exclusive sneak peak trailer is now available online.
Sticking to his guns, Echoes of the Passed eschews often-overused tropes like the plague to create an unnerving and alternative look at the reality of the paranormal, taking audiences on a character-driven story. Starring Sophie Tergeist (whose face will ring a bell if you’ve seen Silently Within Your Shadow), Paul Dewdney, Mac McFadden and Tony Sands, Lyus’ short follows a team which, whilst investigating the mysterious disappearance of two innocent children in a “supposedly” spiritually alive mansion, uncover secrets darker than they could have ever fathomed….
Right now, there’s no word on exactly when Echoes of the Passed will launch a full-scale assault on the festival circuit, but news is expected to roll out forthwith. Check out the teaser below and give us a shout to let us know your thoughts…
