Forest Whitaker Joins with Netflix to Tell Us How It Ends

A few days ago we learned that Theo James (Divergent series, Underworld: Awakening/Blood Wars, “Bedlam”) is starring in Netflix’s new film How It Ends with David M. Rosenthal (Jacob’s Ladder remake) directing. Now one of his co-stars has been revealed…
Per THR, the always awesome Forest Whitaker (Arrival, Species, “The Twilight Zone”) will join James in the post-apocalyptic action-thriller, which was written by Brooks McLaren. No details about his character were revealed, but stay tuned… we’re sure to be getting more info soon!
How It Ends starts production next month in Canada. The script centers on a mysterious apocalyptic event that turns the roads into mayhem. James plays a young father who will stop at nothing to get home to his pregnant wife on the other side of the country.
Paul Schiff, Tai Duncan, Kelly McCormick, and Patrick Newall are producing; Sierra/Affinity developed the project with Paul Schiff Productions and is handling worldwide sales and financing. Sierra’s Nick Meyer and Marc Schaberg are executive producers. Netflix holds worldwide rights to How It Ends.
