Q – The Winged Serpent is one of the best monster movies ever made. Fact. Not opinion. It was directed by all-around maverick Larry Cohen, the guy who also bought us such classics as It’s Alive, Bone, God Told Me To, and the “Masters of Horror” episode “Pick Me Up”.

Steve Mitchell is currently directing a documentary called King Cohen about the life and career of the legendary filmmaker, with subjects interviewed including Martin Scorsese, John Landis, Rick Baker and J.J. Abrams (you can see the entire list on the official website).

There’s no current release date, but we do have a trailer and a stunning hand drawn poster that will bring a smile to the faces of everyone who’s seen Q – The Winged Serpent.
