Tripper Comes Home!
The folks behind The Tripper MySpace page just posted that Fox Home Video has picked David Arquette’s directorial debut up for release on DVD this October 23rd!
No more details were handed out yet, but I’m sure if Arquette has his way, this will be one loaded DVD. Consider all the footage he has of the Tripper tour alone, and I’m sure he’s got enough for a least an hour of goodies.
For those of you saying “huh?”, The Tripper is about a group of kids who gather for a Woodstock-esque music festival in the middle of nowhere, only for a Ronald Regan-obsessed serial killer to start up the ole hack ‘n slash in the middle of it. The film was part of After Dark’s Horrorfest in theory, though I don’t know anyone who actually saw it, then had a very limited theatrical run that was funded by Arquette himself, so needless to say a straight-up DVD release is going to be welcome.
More details will be thrown at you as we learn ‘em!
