Fido Eats Rue Morgue!
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again; this is why I love Rue Morgue.
A huge summer movie like Hostel: Part II is out the same month as this issue and what do they put on the cover? Fido (review)! Seriously, that takes some balls if you ask me (which you didn’t, but then you never do) and I respect them for doing what they always have done best: focusing on what they think you, the intelligent horror fan, should know about rather than what’s popular.
Not that Fido isn’t popular, it just hasn’t been seen by as many people as it should. Or will be.
So aside from Fido, with more artwork done by one of my favorite Canadians, Gary Pullin (who, in case you didn’t know, is responsible for our all-seeing logo), what else does issue #68 hold? A look at the Steve Niles/Bernie Wrightson comic team-up City of Others, an article about Jonathan King’s Black Sheep (review), love for a man who makes full-size monster sculptures (!) and, of course, an interview with Eli Roth about Hostel: Part II!
Look for Rue Morgue’s 68th issue on newsstands June 1st or just hit their official site to become a subscriber! You won’t regret it!
