Dark Sky Sets Stateside Date for Night of the Living Deb
Directed by Kyle Rankin, the horror-comedy Night of the Living Deb (review) hit the festival circuit last year, and it’s being described as America’s answer to British hit Shaun of the Dead. Some pretty damn big shoes to fill, to say the very least. When can you expect to see it? Read on!
Screen Daily reports that genre sales specialist Jinga Films has sold Night of the Living Deb to MPI/Dark Sky Films. They will release the film in North America in September of this year, and it’ll head to the UK, courtesy of Icon Films, shortly.
Ray Wise, Maria Thayer, and Michael Cassidy star in the rom-zom-com.
Synopsis:
After a girls’ night out, endearingly awkward Deb wakes up in the apartment of the most attractive guy in Portland, Maine. She’s thrilled, but she can’t remember much of what got her there. Pretty boy Ryan only knows it was a mistake and ushers her out the door… into a full-scale zombie apocalypse. Now, a walk of shame becomes a fight for survival as the mismatched pair discovers that the only thing scarier than trusting someone with your life… is trusting them with your heart.
