Top Cow Releasing Tracker on November 11th
We all know vampires are riding high on a wave of incredible popularity right now, but werewolves are holding their own pretty well, too. And on November 11th Top Cow introduces us to another lycan to love: FBI agent Alex O’Roark, aka Tracker.
Written and created by Jonathan Lincoln with art by Francis Tsai, the five-part Tracker is the first joint property from Top Cow and Heroes & Villains Entertainment. Here’s a synopsis from Top Cow:
Alex O’Roark, the FBI’s top tracker, has his perfect life ripped to shreds when a case to capture the world’s most dangerous serial killer leads him straight into the maw of a werewolf. Now, keeping his secret from his gorgeous fiancée and the FBI, he must hunt down the wolf that infected him before the disease turns him into a monster.
Lincoln himself adds, “Tracker explores how a man-turned-monster might struggle to keep his neat little world from being ripped to shreds. What becomes of his career? His relationships? His sense of identity? In the interest of shining a light on these moral questions, I’ve cleared away a lot of the superstition that usually plagues the werewolf genre. You will find no full moons or gypsy curses…Tracker is a crime procedural. The story kicks off by showing how the FBI would interpret the signs of a werewolf slaughter.”
Two different covers for Issue 1 are shown below along with two panels (click each for larger versions). If you like what you see, head to your favorite comic dealer (or online retailer) on Wednesday, the 11th, for the whole thing.
