Though it really is kind of a “well, duh” thing to report on, it’s still good to hear it from the mouth of a man who should know!
Fred Dekker was in attendance at last weekend’s Monster Mania bash in New Jersey with a good portion of his Monster Squad cast in tow. Mania was on-hand as well and is happily reporting that, when asked about the Monster Squad DVD we last mentioned here, Dekker was able to confirm that Lionsgate would have the special edition disc out on the streets this October.
That’s really the only time frame that makes sense for such a classic Halloween film, but it’s still good get something official. He also let everyone in attendance at the MS panel know that they would be a part of one of the special features on the disc, “Monster Squad at Monster Mania”! Damnit, now I really wish I had gone!
