SEASON OF THE WITCH Star Wants to Be in the New HALLOWEEN Movies

The internet ignited a few weeks back when Blumhouse and Universal announced that not one, but two new Halloween movies are coming down the pike. Halloween Kills will hit theaters in October 2020 with Halloween Ends concluding the current cycle in 2021. And if he has his druthers, Halloween III: Season of the Witch star Tom Atkins will show up in one or both of them.

Here’s what Atkins told our friends at ComicBook.com:

“I would love to do a cameo in one of the new ones, I’d jump right in that. I would love to do that. I haven’t seen Jamie [Lee Curtis recently]. A lot of people think, ‘Oh my God, all you Hollywood people live on the same block, and you see each other all the time.’ And we don’t. But she and I, we did see each other about four or five years ago in Indianapolis, where she did a convention as a fundraiser for the [Los Angeles Children’s Hospital]. And it was great seeing her again. And it was really easy and nice being around her.”

For years, Halloween III (directed by Tommy Lee Wallace and released in 1982) was considered the redheaded stepchild of the franchise. Still, the Myers-less installment has become a cult hit in the 21st Century with horror fans rallying to support it. Check out the synopsis and trailer below.

Synopsis:
Hospital emergency room Dr. Daniel “Dan” Challis (Tom Atkins) and Ellie Grimbridge (Stacey Nelkin), the daughter of a murder victim, uncover a terrible plot by small-town mask maker Conal Cochran (Dan O’Herlihy), a madman who’s planning a Halloween mass murder utilizing an ancient Celtic ritual. The ritual involves a boulder stolen from Stonehenge, the use of Silver Shamrock masks and a triggering device contained in a television commercial — all designed to kill millions of children.
