HELLRAISER: THE FLESH IS FOREVER is a Sequel to HELLRAISER: JUDGMENT We’ll Never See

It’s been almost two months since we got the news that David S. Goyer had been tapped by Spyglass Media Group to pen a theatrical reboot of Clive Barker’s seminal Hellraiser franchise. It’ll be the first Hellraiser movie to get a theatrical release since Hellraiser: Bloodline, and will launch a completely new mythology.

While many fans are thrilled to be getting a fresh take on Hellraiser, this means that the new mythology created by Gary J. Tunnicliffe in 2018’s Hellraiser: Judgment will be abandoned. It’s a shame since Tunnicliffe introduced a legion of new and intriguing Cenobites, and the film ended with Elliot Spencer being stripped of his powers and returned to Earth as a mere mortal.

A sequel to Judgment, Hellraiser: The Flesh is Forever, was penned by Josiah M. Jones. While we’ll likely never see it, one of our favorite UK film critics and academics, Mr. H, has gotten ahold of the script, which he recaps in the video embedded at the top of the article. It picks up exactly where Judgment ends and offers a fascinating window into what could have been.

Give it a spin embedded at the top of the article and let us know what you think!
