"The Vampire Diaries" returns to The CW on Thursday night, October 11th, and we have a look at the Season 4 promo poster along with the synopsis of upcoming Episode 4.04, "The Five."

Per usual, The CW is releasing the synopses for its regular series a few weeks in advance of their airdates, and on tap we have a look at "The Vampire Diaries" Episode 4.03, "The Rager," in which guest star Phoebe Tonkin ("The Secret Circle") makes her first appearance on the show.

We're not sure whom the "Memorial" in the title of Episode 4.02 of "The Vampire Diaries" is for, but the smart money says Alaric. Check out this image gallery for the ep and see if you can find any clues.

"The Vampire Diaries" doesn't return until October 11th, but The CW is already looking ahead to the 18th and has released the official synopsis for Episode 4.02, "Memorial." In addition we have a video interview with Joseph Morgan talking what's in store for Klaus.

During last July's San Diego Comic-Con, Ian Somerhalder told us that "Matt's going to have a tough year" during Season 4 of "The Vampire Diaries. Now it's time for Zach Roerig himself to share how the traumatic Season 3 ending has influenced his character.

Time for the last "producer's preview" of the season for "The Vampire Diaries". Watch exec producer Julie Plec introduce Episode 3.22, "The Departed", which promises to be a doozy of a season finale, in which - SPOILER ALERT - someone does not survive.

The CW must know how excited fans are for the Season Three finale of "The Vampire Diaries" because instead of just the usual preview and clip they post every week, this time we get TWO clips of Episode 3.22, "The Departed", one focusing on Elena and the other on Damon.

Attention fans of "The Vampire Diaries": Warner Bros. has granted a license to Creation Entertainment to produce “Official The Vampire Diaries Fan Conventions”, and the first is taking place in Chicago this weekend!

Last night two characters on "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Secret Circle" believed they had allies on their sides, but sadly, both Damon and Adam were duped. Damon, per usual, found Plan B; Adam not so much. What will next week hold?
