World Zombie Day
Monroeville, PA, is no stranger to zombies, especially at their fabled mall where, in 1978, the original (and still best) Dawn of the Dead was filmed. Now, thirty years later, the shambling dead once again invaded for a three-day event which culminated in a good charitable cause. More on that later. ZombieFest, the annual event, was one hell of a good time, and if you missed it, you should promptly go and kick yourself wherever is most tender.
We first told you about it back in early February, so it's understandable if it's slipped your mind, which is why we're reminding you that this Sunday, October 26th, is World Zombie Day™!
You've all seen the photos in our gallery of folks having a great time and hobnobbing with the stars at conventions. Most of them come with a pretty hefty price tag. Usually convention-goers can expect to pay between $20 and $45 for a weekend filled with vendors, celebs, panels, etc.
