Like many others, we have been wondering just what the hell has been going on with the big screen adaptation of Max Brook's stellar novel World War Z (review here). Finally there's some news to sink our teeth into!

World War Z Adaptation to be Delayed

For a while, it looked like the World War Z (review here) adaptation was ready to roll under the watchful eye of Quantum of Solace director Marc Forster. But today we’re getting word that while things are still a go, it’s going to take a little more time than initially expected to bring Max Brooks' zombie apocalypse to the big screen.

Paramount Puts Damn Nation on Fast Track

Just in case there aren't enough book-to-screen adaptations for us to keep track of already, news of another came today: Damn Nation, which was published by Dark Horse Comics in 2005. It was written by Andrew Cosby with artwork by Jason Shawn Alexander.

The hope, screenwriter J. Michael Straczynski told MTV’s Movies Blog, is to start production on World War Z by the first of the year. That’s a pretty quick turnaround since he’s still polishing the script based on director Marc Forster’s notes.
