It's been about six months since we first heard about Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, the brainchild of Dead Snow co-writer/director Tommy Wirkola under the auspices of Gary Sanchez Productions and Paramount. Now finally the project has a writer to take Wirkola's idea and smooth it out a bit: Dante Harper.

Instead of flat-out just saying they're canceling the series "Eastwick", ABC is beating about the bush with reports that they've "decided not to order additional episodes" beyond its initial 13. Seven of them have aired with the remaining six scheduled to be shown after a two-week break for some special programming on the network.

Tommy Wirkola is done with Nazi-zombies. At least for the time being. Even though his last movie, Dead Snow (review), was a hit with most fans, the young filmmaker has decided to go for a less absurd subject for his next film - Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters!
