A fun fact about this writer is that I was so motivated by my love of the original Planet of the Apes, I once hand made myself and my ex Zira and Cornelius costumes for Halloween. So you can only imagine how intensely my geek senses have been tingling since the first trailer for the upcoming Rise of the Planet of the Apes dropped online courtesy of 20th Century Fox.
Here's the thing ... if it can stand on two legs and has hands with five fingers, you may not want to be handing it an armed AK-47 assault rifle. No good can possibly come from doing such a thing!
For you Southern Californians who are eagerly awaiting the upcoming flick Rise of the Planet of the Apes, 20th Century Fox is holding a special preview event in honor of the film’s upcoming release on July 7th at the California Institute of Technology’s Beckman Auditorium (332 S. Michigan Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91125) at 8:00 pm.
