It's less than two weeks until the premiere of The Twilight Saga: New Moon so of course to go along with today's press conference, the film's main stars popped up with some high profile interviews. We've already heard from four members of the Wolf Pack and Kristen Stewart; now it's time for Edward and Jacob themselves, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, to chime in with their $.02.

We lost count of exactly how many sequels there were to the werewolf classic The Howling. The troubled series has seen marsupials, freakshows, and even big-breasted sibling werewolves. Just when you thought it was over, the franchise is reborn!

New Moon, the second installment in The Twilight Saga, looks to be putting its bloodsuckers on the back-burner and focusing on the wolf pack, which should bode well for expanding its fanbase to those who prefer lycans over vamps. And if the newly released photo of Tinsel Korey as Emily Young, who is like "a second mother to the pack", is any indication, those wolves have some pretty nasty claws!

Never mind all the big budget remakes that are supposed to wow you from their opening seconds. Screw all the lame ass CGI effects that most of the time add nothing to our horror genre other than making it seem a bit more cartoonish. If you're in the market for something old school and completely badass, you need to be digging on Eben McGarr's latest feature House of the Wolf Man. We've been telling you about it for months, but now some lucky folks in LA will finally get to see it!

Now here's a movie after my own heart. Because aren't we overdue for a mixed martial arts movie featuring werewolves? The film-to-be is titled Growl. The very notion of a movie about a traveling pack of underground MMA fighting werewolves makes me want to cheer.

When I first started working on my novel, I felt as though the horror genre hadn't utilized werewolves to anywhere approaching their full potential. That was almost three years ago (five if you count the short story I wrote in college), and I’m only now just putting the finishing touches on it. Of course, currently it seems like every other genre book out there is spinning a good old shapeshifter yarn. Guess I’ll have to go faster next time.

HBO's terrific "In Treatment" is becoming quite a springboard for genre actresses. First there was Mia Wasikowska as the new Alice in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, and now we have the equally talented Alison Pill joining Olivia Thirlby for Jack & Diane, a picture about two teenage girls who fall in love -- and as a result turn into werewolves!

Potential plotlines for a fourth installment in the Underworld franchise have been floating around since January, 2008, when the head of Lakeshore said confidently Underworld 4 “would carry on where Kate [Beckinsale] and Scott Speedman left off after 2.″ Now that Sony Screen Gems has given the project the green light, we'll see if he was telling the truth.
