Vin Diesel Will Return in BLOODSHOT 2

Sony’s adaptation of Valiant Entertainment’s Bloodshot with Vin Diesel hit earlier this year. And today DMG Entertainment Creative Head Dan Mintz confirmed plans for Bloodshot 2 with Diesel expected to return.

Mintz told CBR. “I think [Bloodshot] was very successful in that respect, a lot of people saw it and it did very well in the post-release rollout but you can’t use the same evaluation process, pre-COVID, to this. [Are] Vin Diesel and all those people going to still continue? Yes, because it did so well and the response to it has been so well, it’s just that the response has been in a non-transparent environment, as opposed to a transparent environment like box office numbers.”

There are no details on when the sequel will hit but we will keep on top of this news as it develops and pass along updates as we hear them. Stay tuned!

Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence, some suggestive material, and language Bloodshot was directed by David Wilson from a screenplay by Jeff Wadlow (Fantasy Island) and Eric Heisserer (Arrival) based on the character created by Kevin VanHook, Don Perlin, and Bob Layton. Neal H. Moritz, Toby Jaffe, Dinesh Shamdasani, and Vin Diesel produce. Diesel co-stars included Toby Kebbell, Guy Pearce, Lamorne Morris, Talulah Riley, and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson.
