IGN got the early word on the special features that'll be found on the Outlander DVD when it hits video store shelves. Genius Products and The Weinstein Company are releasing the film, described by some as "Beowulf meets Predator", this coming May 19, 2009.

Good news for those of you who’ve been itching to see Jesus fight a monster from outer space. A reader named “Avery” just tipped us off that Box Office Mojo now has a theatrical release date for Howard McCain’s Outlander: January 23rd, 2009!

Despite an impassioned plea by AICN's Moriarty several weeks back for Harvey Weinstein to give Howard McCain's vikings vs. an alien creature feature Outlander a wide theatrical release it looks likes that plea fell on deaf ears (or should I say deaf eyes?) and the film will be getting dumped onto DVD in November.
