New ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Trailer Shows Leatherface Massacring A Bus Of People

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)

Netflix has blessed us with a brand new trailer for the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot. It has everything: fields of dead sunflowers, Alice Krige, jaded millennials, Sally Hardesty with a shotgun and, of course, a chainsaw-wielding Leatherface absolutely demolishing a bus full of young people.

Witness the new trailer in all of its glory:

In the ninth installment of the franchise, and a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper’s original film, Melody (Sarah Yarkin), her teenage sister Lila (Elsie Fisher), and their friends Dante (Jacob Latimore) and Ruth (Nell Hudson), head to the remote town of Harlow, Texas. There, they plan to start an idealistic new business venture. But their dream soon turns into a waking nightmare when they accidentally disrupt the home of Leatherface. As they try to evade the killer, they join up with Sally Hardesty (Olwen Fouéré), the sole survivor of his infamous 1973 massacre who’s hell-bent on seeking revenge.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre trailer shows not just Lila and their friends, but a big group of young people rolling up to the town of Harlow in a giant bus. The town is sun-bleached and dusty, much like the vibes from the original film. Of course, these newcomers can’t help but walk into old houses which only kickstarts their destruction. But don’t worry, because Sally Hardesty is on the case with a cowboy hat and a shotgun. There’s a lot going on here and we’re aren’t mad about it.
