Throwback Thursday: Go Behind-The-Scenes in RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION

Back in 2012, Resident Evil: Retribution came out as the fifth installment of the Constantin Films franchise that began in 2002. Written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, the film followed Alice (Milla Jovovich) after she’s been captured by the Umbrella Corporation and must escape an underwater facility hiding beneath the frigid wastelands of the extreme North.

Back then, we were given several behind-the-scenes videos that showcased not only the actors on set doing what they do best but also the various teams that helped to bring the movie to life. In the five-part series, which you can watch above, you’ll see people who make the sets feel like real places, who create monsters from nothing with the help of CGI, who know every stitch of every piece of costuming and wardrobe you see, and much, much more. This is the chance to get an amazing look at the full machine responsible for bringing the words of a script to the visuals on a screen.

The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice, awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.
