On September 28th Columbia Pictures releases Hotel Transylvania, a horror-infused animated film from director Genndy Tartakovsky. The flick features an all-star voice cast including Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Andy Samberg, Steve Buscemi, David Spade and Cee-Lo Green.

Written by Robert Smigel, David Stern and Dan and Kevin Hageman, Hotel Transylvania follows Count Dracula (Sandler) on a special weekend where he hopes to reunite with a few of his buddies including The Mummy (Green), Frankenstein (James) and a handful of other ghouls to celebrate his daughter’s (Selena Gomez) birthday.

Plans go awry when a human boy finds Dracula’s secret hideaway, and soon everyone at Hotel Transylvania will see just how one human will change all their lives forever.

During the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con, Dread Central had the chance to sit down for a video interview with the man at the helm of Hotel Transylvania, Genndy Tartakovsky, who was also the driving force behind several hit animated series like “Dexter’s Laboratory,” “Samurai Jack” and “Star Wars: Clone Wars.” During our interview we spoke with the director about his experiences helming his first animated feature film, more on what we can expect from Hotel Transylvania and whether or not fans will ever get to see a feature film adaptation of “Samurai Jack.”

Check out our exclusive video interview with Tartakovsky below, and look for Hotel Transylvania in theaters on September 28th.
