Director Spencer Squire taps into her talents with the upcoming film Abandoned. Now, Roberts moves from playing sassy teenagers to a troubled mom.
Abandoned follows the sharply intense lives of Sara (Emma Roberts), her husband Alex (John Gallagher Jr.), and their infant son as they move into a remote farmhouse, which harbors a dark, tragic history. As their home’s past is revealed, the mother’s fragility escalates to a state of psychosis that jeopardizes her own safety and that of her newborn son.

Squire directed the film with a script written by Erik Patterson and Jessica Scott. John Gallagher Jr. and Michael Shannon star in Abandoned alongside Roberts.
Abandoned hits theaters on June 17, 2022 and comes to Digital and On Demand on June 24, 2022.
