Johnny Z is a zombie hunter, well-versed in martial arts, whose blood may contain a cure for the entire Apocalypse. Johnny Z, the film, looks like the antidote to stale/overused zombie troupes featuring an antihero the likes of who we haven’t seen since Blade. Johnny Z is produced by Hurricane Bridge Entertainment and will begin running the festival circuit in 2019.
This weekend, producers gave us our first glimpse of Johnny Z in the form of a teaser trailer. Give it a look-see above and read the synopsis below.
Synopsis:
Johnny Z is a horror-action feature film about a half human, half zombie named Johnny who, under the guidance of a martial arts master seeks vengeance on the evil corporation that created him. It’s Land of the Dead meets The Raid.
Johnny Z is directed by Jonathan Straiton who co-wrote the screenplay with Ron Bonk; the film stars Michael Merchant, Felix Cortes, and Jason Delgado.
